Today I am feeling free. For so long I allowed my fear to be one of my greatest barriers. I am nonbinary, and my identity is now one of the things I love the most about myself. The day I chose to stop hiding was the day I decided to validate my feelings. I began to recognize the importance of my emotions, the courage behind my questioning them, and the power in embracing who I really am. I am unapologetic and resilient — I no longer carry the heavy burden of shame. It's been a journey, but I now realize that when I feel comfortable in my skin, I honor myself. Whether it's at home in the small moments, or out in the world. Accept yourself for who you are, you deserve it.
